Wissen Infotech: Empowering Organizations with High Quality Services
• Empowering Organizations with High Quality Services
• Eliminating Uncertainty in Testing
• Bringing IT Services closer to Business
When it comes to enterprise IT, quality assurance (QA) is not just a buzzword. Products need to maintain application standards and performances without compromising on quality. QA ensures that not only does the application perform optimally but also keeps maintenance costs under control. With the advent of new technologies such as cloud, mobility and data analytics, cross-checking the quality of the product has become even crucial as compromising on product quality can bring massive havoc in today’s close-knit systems. By early 2000, when technological advancements were still on, Subhakar Reddy Kurly along with a group of IT Professionals—all working in reputed organizations in the US—set out to establish Wissen Infotech, a firm that offers high quality services to its clients across the globe at an affordable price. The company’s founders identified that there are huge potentials and cost benefits in off shoring IT projects. That’s when Wissen Infotech came into being. Subhakar says, “Today, it’s one of the fastest growing IT services companies in India.”
Based in Bangalore, Wissen started its operations with the promoters outsourcing their own jobs and providing Remote Infrastructure Management Services. Gradually, it diversified its offerings, adding QA & Testing, and application development and maintenance tasks to its roster of services. The value-added services which the company offered initially, over time, turned into its prime offerings.
Lack of quality resources and difficulty in retaining them, absence of structured and process oriented approach to testing, unpredictable nature of demand for QA services, delayed time to market and emergence of cloud, mobile apps and bigdata/analytics are some of the major challenges Wissen has helped its clients overcome over the years.
Going beyond traditional time-bound or fixed-priced contracts, Wissen identifies problems and opportunities by actively participating in capacity building, technology and tools roadmaps and ensures Business-IT alignment.
Going beyond traditional time-bound or fixed-priced contracts, the company identifies problems and opportunities by actively participating in capacity building, technology and tools roadmaps and ensures Business-IT alignment. The company’s unique “Basic + Variable + Bucket” model has been well received by its clients. It has invested heavily in several upcoming technologies and has proven competency in cloud and analytics space. Its test labs are well equipped with cutting edge mobile devices, emulators, developmental OSS, and in-house cloud and Hadoop infrastructure.
Wissen Infotech offers varied delivery models: onsite, offshore, near shore and hybrid, depending on client’s requirements pertaining to managed Services and professional Staffing.
With its QA and Testing Center of Excellence (CoE), the company provides several advanced services including Process Maturity Consulting, CoE Setup, Automation, and Performance/Volume/Stress testing, all geared to reduce Time-To-Market. Subhakar adds, “Our ability to deliver quantifiable returns has helped us build trust with our clients and get repeat business with some of the largest organizations in the world.” Wissen’s list of clients includes GE (Healthcare, Aviation, Digital Energy, and Global Research), Quintiles, Blue Cross Blue Shield, CA, Robert Bosch, Landmark, Mahindra, Morgan Stanley and Schneider among others.
Going forward, Wissen has big expansion plans. The organization is working towards setting up its automation/PVS centers with licensed infrastructure, providing tools for services, open an exclusive Test center in India, and explore partnerships for offering high value services. Building a CoE driven business and expanding workforce to 2000 by 2017 are also on the platter. Growing beyond the expected lines while serving its clients is the raison d’être for Wissen Infotech.
